Left Coast to Go!
An illuminating lecture about Rebecca Clarke's exquisite 1919 Viola Sonata and a performance of the work by Kurt Rohde and Eric Zivian. One of the jewels of the viola repertoire, this fascinating work was the subject of Kurt's dissertation. The concert can be scheduled in your home on one of the following dates: March 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, 2019.
Starting Bid: $250Left Coast to Go!
Combine new and old with Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata and Craig Walsh's Pipeline Burst Cache. The arpeggione, a six string bowed instrument, was invented in 1823 and attracted the attention of Franz Schubert. Though the instrument quickly fell from fashion, Schubert's beautiful work has endured and is often performed by a variety of other instruments. Left Coast's Leighton Fong and Michael Goldberg will dazzle with an arrangement for cello and guitar. Showcasing contemporary repertoire, Craig Walsh’s piece for cello and electroacoustic recording has a magical otherworldly sound. (Home concert date to be determined between winner and performers.)
Starting Bid: $250Musical still life
A 16” x 20” original painting from the art studio of Millicent Tomkins.
