Please join us on Sunday October 8, 2023 at 2:30pm for our 31st Season Gala! Hosted at the Maybeck-designed First Church of Christ, Scientist, Berkeley the centerpiece will be a performance of Schoenberg's early romantic work Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night), both building and music expressing an early-twentieth-century spirit of nostalgia and experimentation.

Before the performance of Verklärte Nacht in the main sanctuary, guests can drop by the beautiful intimate chapel on the north side of the building to enjoy solo performances by cellist Leighton Fong and guitarist Michael Goldberg between 2:30 and 3:30pm

All tickets support Left Coast's mission and include:

  • Music in the chapel with Leighton Fong and Michael Goldberg

  • Live and Silent Auction

  • Performance of Verklärte Nacht in the unique sanctuary

FREE EVENT! Meet Composer Josiah Catalan: Preview Performance & Talk

Get to know composer Josiah Catalan and the musicians of the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble at a special event at the Piedmont Center for the Arts. Josiah will share how a trip he took to the Southern Philippines opened up a new musical world and how that connects to the new concerto he wrote for flutist Stacey Pelinka and Left Coast. You’ll get to hear the preview performance of Night of the South Winds and join in the Q&A with Josiah and the musicians. This talk is free and includes a reception.
