You are invited to join us Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 6:00pm Pacific Time for our virtual gala! Left Coast’s Artist Advisor, the celebrated composer and violist Kurt Rohde, will host an evening of hand-selected concert excerpts showcasing favorite performances, compositions, and commissions.
Including music from Debussy, Chris Castro, Jennifer Jolley, and Rohde, with special appearances from composer Anthony R. Green and LCCE flutist Stacey Pelinka.

A Bird in the Garden. Stacey Pelinka offers either of two garden programs: Bach Partita in A minor and Peteris Vasks Landscape with Birds or Syrinx, Marais La Folia Variations, Telemann Fantasia in G major. To be arranged at a time mutually convenient for host and musician.
New Works for Cello. Leighton Fong performs a solo concert of contemporary cello music. Available for most of the period May 15- August 29 to be arranged at a time mutually convenient for host and musician.
Chaconne at Home. Anna Presler plays Bach's Chaconne for solo violin, written around 1720 while the composer was Kapellmeister in Köthen. Available June 5-August 29, to be arranged at a time mutually convenient for host and musician.
Ravel Sonata - special duet! Leighton Fong and Anna Presler perform Maurice Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Cello, a masterpiece of counterpoint, orchestration, and color composed in the early 1920s. Available for most of the period May 15 - August 29, to be arranged at a time mutually convenient for musicians and host.
Bach in the Garden. The newest member of Left Coast, conductor and violist Matilda Hofman, plays the exquisite Bach D minor cello suite on her viola. Available June 1-August 19, to be arranged at a time mutually convenient for musicians and host.
